I met Darcy Sang last year while planning my wedding.  I was looking for a certain distinctiveness that was shockingly difficult to find in my search for wedding invitations.  I was lucky enough to stumble upon her company, Pearl Beach Paperie while doing wedding research online.

From the moment I contacted Darcy I felt like I was dealing with someone who really wanted to help me create what was in my head – not just make a sale.  She was one of the few people in the wedding planning process that made my life easier not harder.  She was always willing to meet me wherever and whenever I was available to meet and during every meeting she helped talk me through all my options.  There were so many options but you wouldn’t know it going to some other vendors.

Having said all this, one of my favorite things about working with Darcy is that she did not rule out anything.  She was always open to any and all possibilities but she helped guide me as well – she didn’t just agree with me for the sake of being nice.  If something really couldn’t be done or cost a little more than what we were thinking to spend she always said so in a positive, constructive manner; always wanting to find another way and never a negative or disparaging comment.

I never met Darcy before planning my wedding nor had I heard about her but to this day – nearly a year after my wedding – she is still one of the few people from that process that I miss working with and just talking to.  She’s just about the easiest person in the world to get along with and that goes a long way with a bride on a rampage. Thank you for the lovely card you sent after the wedding! Eric and I were so glad that we finally got to meet you in person but most importantly we are very happy to have made a new friend. Since we were already planning a wedding at Disney World (while living out of state) we were hesitant to undergo the design process for our invitations and reception items remotely. However, after the first week of working with you, it became apparent that distance would not be an issue. When I sent you an email you replied almost immediately, you were always available to hold appointments over the phone and were very gracious to repeatedly email me as many designs and quotes as I needed to make the final decision. Also, the paper samples you sent for the invitations were too cute and reflected all of the design options that we discussed!

The invitations were phenomenal! Initially, we were not quite sure how to express what we were looking for but you worked with us patiently and helped us pin down the exact style we wanted. The end product blew us away and my Grandmother still uses the “belly band” from the invitations for a bookmark. I cannot tell you how happy we were with the menu cards, favor tags and table numbers too. They all coordinated seamlessly with the reception decor and were absolutely stunning amidst all of the candlelight. The evolution from the invitations to the reception items was flawless and allowed our guests to fully experience the romantic environment that we wanted to invoke. Plus, everyone took their menu cards home for souvenirs. Also, the “bridal brand” that you created for the invitation suite made a wonderful addition to the aisle runner and really pulled all of the other decorations together. It made a huge difference in the overall look of the ceremony! We kept the aisle runner and are planning on using it again when we renew our vows in 20 years…

You have been so thoughtful and considerate throughout the planning process, it has been a real joy working with you. Eric and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. The invitations and the reception pieces you designed really helped create the overall theme of our wedding and provided wonderful keepsakes for our family and friends. The wedding planning process can be arduous at best and we appreciate your patience, responsiveness and attention to detail. I must start this by saying that my daughter did her wedding planning long distance as she is located in Texas at this time, so a lot of phone calls and emails were exchanged during the planning process. It wasn’t the ideal way to handle this, however it worked out beautifully.

My daughter’s Disney Fairy Tale wedding began with our meeting with Darcy. That day was a whirlwind, as my daughter Stephanie, her fiancé Matt and myself had our entire planning meeting in one day! Talk about overload… it’s an experience I will never forget. We went from invitations to wedding cake in one fell swoop. Since that was the very first thing we did though, Stephanie was more nervous and excited than usual.

Darcy was very professional and helpful, walking us through the process, step by step. Since this was our first foray into wedding planning (being the first wedding we’ve been involved in in recent years) we had lots of very basic questions, which Darcy fielded without patronizing us or making us feel silly for asking them.

Since I consider myself a “paper crafter” I wanted to personally make as many of the special touches as I could that fit into my daughter’s ideas and desires. Darcy and I bonded while waiting for Stephanie and Matt to arrive.

The decision making process was quick and easy for them, as Darcy had examples of her ideas based on their phone conversations and emails prior to the meeting. They were all very special and pinpointed Stephanie’s theme. Proofs, ideas and questions flew back and forth between the three of us. Darcy was cognizant of the budget my daughter had established and was even helpful in making cost-cutting suggestions, rather than trying to up-sell my daughter into an invitation out of her price range. She did a fantastic job with the invitations and thank you notes, all carrying through the theme.

I was thrilled to be able to add some personal touches on the invitations and to be able to make some of the other items as well. Darcy was a great help with card stock and was always the consummate professional through my constant questions. Overall, our experience with Darcy was an excellent one!

I can see why Pearl Beach Paperie is one of Disney Fairy Tale Wedding’s preferred vendors! I would recommend Pearl Beach to any Florida or Orlando bride, any Disney bride, or any person who needs stationary products. I know my daughter looks forward to working with Darcy when she needs to order announcements for my future grandchildren.

A friend of mine referred me to Darcy when I was looking for my wedding invitations. I was disappointed after visiting several stationery shops and not being able to find examples of wedding invitations that I liked. Furthermore, not being familiar with stationery “lingo” made the process more overwhelming.

From the get-go of our wedding planning, we chose all of our vendors based on their personalities and level of customer service. We must say that we had the best customer service with Darcy of Pearl Beach Paperie! (and we did previously deal with other invitation stores and vendors.)

Darcy met us for a very low-key, no pressure initial meeting to discuss our options and desires. After looking through MANY great invitations, we decided to create our own based on a similar style we had seen in her plethora of high-end style designed books.

Once we created and chose the exact colors, we had the opportunity to view all of the proofs via email to determine if it still was the vision we desired. We were able to make changes along the way and it was 100% worth it!

Darcy got back to us immediately whenever we contacted her and really went above and beyond! We also had a customized Seating Table Chart created with the same logo motif she designed for our invitations. EVERYONE loved both the unique invitations as well as our wedding table seating chart!
