Helpful hints in creating your paper vision:

• PLAN AHEAD – Custom artwork can take time, so be sure to contact us with plenty of it before the invitations need to go out or your deadline, this can also help you to avoid rush fees and ensure we can fit you into our design and print schedules.
• BRING YOUR IDEAS TO THE TABLE – It helps to have inspirations to kick start the creative process.  This can be colors, a theme, the location, the date, month, time of year, etc.  Every bit helps in zeroing in on a design idea.
• SIZE, QUANTITY & TEXT – Know the size of card you want?  Great! If the finished piece requires multiple cards, it is helpful to know what you will need and the amount of text needed on each card to help determine the size(s) of each card.  Knowing how many of each piece you will need is helps too.  Accurate pricing of a custom creation requires a lot of information and these pieces are a good start.
• BUDGET – Do you have an idea of what you would like to spend?  With custom work, knowing this number can help to navigate through the paper mine field and narrow suggestions of paper and printing process.

When considering custom designed paper products be sure to come armed with ideas and information to make the process as smooth and seamless as possible.

For the 2011 holiday season, a couple of custom cards included a holiday card that included the family dog as well as a card to include family photos.  Both gave us ideas of paper and ink colors, but left the design ideas in our hands beyond that.  Below are our final creations.

Another example of a custom piece was a foil printed baby announcement, where the mom-to-be wanted to create it around the wallpaper she chose for the nursery with the intention of having a whimsical/ethereal appeal.  We chose a silky white paper and shimmery silver envelope with a matte silver foil imprint.

A custom wedding invitation suite for a Lake Placid Lodge wedding started with the bride stating she had seen an invitation we created combining the groom’s love of hunting with the bride’s love of all things pink and sparkly.  The bride declared “I’ve seen the deer head Swarovski crystal invitation, I know you can do my invitations!”  Her inspirations were the lodge and its rustic surrounding and appeal, rainbow trout, flowers as well as incorporating her colors of lavender and light green.  It was a challenge in the beginning, but once the creative ideas starting flowing, we had to narrow down the selections.

With the help of artist, Sarah Hanna, we pulled in so many fabulous ideas to include a light purple half pocket wrapped with a monogrammed celery green belly band and matching envelopes.  The insert pieces printed on a textured natural white paper for a bit of a rustic feel included patterns of fish scales and woodgrain, images of the lodge and their beloved rainbow trout in shades of lavender and green.

The floral pattern created for the belly band and envelope even disguised fishing lures within the bouquets.  The bride cried when she saw the finished suite, which makes everything we do so worthwhile.  We love custom work and hope you will return to see more creations on our ever-evolving website as well as visit our postings on Pinterest.  We look forward to creating the perfect piece for your upcoming special occasion, business or personal needs.

Megan and Justin’s wedding took place at the picturesque Estate House at Cypress Grove Park in Orlando, Florida with shades of pink, gold and black colors.  The tables were adorned with pink floral and candlelit lanterns to set the tone of romance as guests were engulfed in lush greenery and hanging lights that balanced the formal and casual feel of the outdoor event.  As added extra enjoyment, Megan and Justin provided a photo booth setup for their friends and family to take wacky and fun self-portraits to share with the bride and groom.

Great paper editions included custom letterpressed invitations with black ink on cotton paper with calligraphy accents provided by Sarah Hanna Calligraphy and Design.  Framed table numbers and menus added a gorgeous touch to the tables as guests lingered with their custom monogrammed cocktail napkins.  Instead of your standard guest book, Megan and Justin stuck with the French country theme and used the margins of a Julia Child French cookbook as placeholders for their guests to sign and share their sentiments.

Whitney and Chad’s wedding took place at yet another central Florida picturesque location seemingly so similar to a Tuscan Villa at the Bella Collina.  With the stone covered villa on one side and a lake and luscious ground cover on the other, the lanterns strewn across the party spot and the attention to detail sets the tone for a wedding celebration to remember.

The invitation carries a rustic letterpress feel with floral and greenery blind debossed and a coppery brown ink letterpressed with the party details.  An olive green envelope and debossed belly band tie the invitation suite together.

Shades of white, brown and green paint the picture.  Wire framed menu cards stand front and center on each table along with a notebook that is labeled with a table number and inside provide space for the guests at each table time to leave their notes to the happy couple, yet another non-traditional guest book idea.  The branch shaped pen pulls it all together.  Floral centerpieces of yellow, white, brown and green add a pop of color to the otherwise natural and toned down color scheme picking up the sunsetting rays of light – ahh, Tuscany.  Plentiful caramel chocolate dipped apples adorned with an oval tag alerts guests of their place at the table.

“A testimony to the trust and excellence of each vendor we chose, many were used for both mine and my sister’s weddings.  When you find something great, you don’t want to pass it up,” states bride Whitney.  Key vendors for Whitney’s wedding were Blush by Brandee Gaar, photography by Castaldo Studios, Cake by Party Flavors and floral by Greenery Productions.

Where to begin? I was so happy and excited to have the opportunity to work with you again after my sister’s wedding and after I saw the amazing work that you do! I remember at our first meeting I was pretty overwhelmed with all the choices and decisions that had to be made and you made that SO much easier and enjoyable!! Save the dates are no longer just for destination weddings. It has almost become common practice to give notice of your wedding date and location so that you claim that date and let your friends and family know you want to celebrate with them.
